OverScores doesn't collect, mine, or share your data in any way. It's a sheet music app that lives entirely on your device — and that's it.
Privacy Policy
Avi Bortnick built OverScores as a commercial sheet music reader and markup app. This page explains our approach to your privacy.
Data Collection & Privacy
OverScores is a "privacy-first" app.
- No data collected: The app does not require a login or an account with us. We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or any personal information.
- No tracking: We do not track or transmit your scores, audio, settings, or usage in any way.
- Everything stays local: Your scores, markup, and settings are stored only on your device.
- iCloud Sync: Edits sync between your Mac and iPad via Apple's iCloud, using your own personal iCloud account. This data is handled directly between your devices and Apple — we do not have access to it and it is never stored on our servers.
- Purchases: The free trial and OverScores Pro are in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the transaction and tells the app whether a purchase is active; we never see your Apple ID or payment details. Your trial and purchase status is stored on your device.
- Streaming links: Streaming links hand off to Apple Music, YouTube, or Spotify. Once you leave OverScores, that service's own privacy policy applies — we send them nothing about you.
- Data deletion: Because we never collect or store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete. Removing the app removes its data from your device.
Children's Privacy
OverScores does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
